Having decided to not race the last 6 meetings at home might have paid off for Daniel and Jarrod,as they had a good start to the racing campaign in Sydney.
Jarrod with a win and a 5th in his second heat put him of position 2 for the 20lap feature, with a not so good start he found himself in 5th and while racing for 3rd came in contact when he high sided into a car and bending his front axle and radius rod, at the restart having started in 22nd made his way to 11th when the feature was reduced to 10 laps due to curfew.
Daniel had a 3rd and a 2nd in his heats and was awarded with a 3rd starting position in the 30lap final. At the start he made his way into 2nd and another lap later had taken the lead and maintained it for the next 12 laps, he maintained top3 until race fitness started to hinder his performance and was passed by Robbie Farr with a hand full of laps remaining.
After the dust had settled coming home 4th was as good as a win considering the level of the competition here running with the parra boys.
Let hope we can build on it this Saturday night 29th.(if the rain goes away)
